You can certainly travel with an item. We highly recommend keeping your designer bag in your carry-on luggage instead of checked baggage to prevent theft or loss during your flight. In case of theft, loss or damage, the renter is fully responsible.
You can rent one item at a time. However, our loyal customers have the opportunity to rent multiple items simultaneously. To arrange this, please send an email to info@sophisticatedcloset.com or WhatsApp us at +31 6 45 61 92 14 , and we’ll be happy to assist you!
You can rent an item for a minimum of three days and a maximum of 28 days. Some items deviate from the minimum and maximum period. If you want to deviate from the minimum or maximum duration, you can send an email to info@sophisticatedcloset.com or WhatsApp us at +31 6 45 61 92 14 and we can look at the possibilities.
Due to the high value of our items, we require you to upload your ID the first time. This is because we want to know who rents our bags. For the safety of our customers and ours.
All the bags we rent are 100% authentic.
You cannot reserve an item, but you can book in advance to ensure that your desired bag is available for that time.
You can book an item up to two months in advance.
It is the renter’s responsibility if a bag is lost or stolen (No Return). You are responsible for 200% of the RRP mentioned on the website! (see term & conditions article 4.3).
If the renter damages an item, they are responsible for the repair costs. If the bag cannot be repaired or cleaned, the renter must pay for the item at the RRP presented on the website and remit the amount to Sophisticated Closet (see terms and conditions, article 4). Once we receive the payment, the bag will be sent to the renter. Damage includes:
- Stains in the interior (make up, ink, etc)
- Stains on the exterior (Ink, water, etc)
- Scratches on the bag
- Broken hardware

It is possible to pick up and return a bag at our head office in The Hague. Simply select ‘pick up’ as your shipping method. We will contact you to schedule a pickup appointment. You will receive a €5 discount if you pick up your order and return it in person. Please note that if you return the bag by mail, you will not be eligible for the discount.
We understand that sometimes returning an item late can happen. Please always inform us to discuss a solution if this occurs. However, if we do not hear from you, the item will be automatically extended by one day, and you will incur an additional daily fee (please see the website for details).
If you fail to return the bag after 5 working days without contacting us, you will be liable for twice the display price on the website (RRP) of the bag, along with any applicable late fees. Additionally, an interest charge of 8% will be applied to the cost of any bag in your possession, in addition to the late fees. The 200% charge is intended to prevent “buy with no return” actions, particularly for rare or unique bags that clients may wish to keep.
